Commission reappoints Brett Budd to City of Newton Public Building Commission

The Harvey County Commission approved the reappointment of Brett Budd as the county’s representative to the City of Newton Public Building Commission on Feb. 4.
County Administrator Shannon said Budd’s first term had expired and the city of Newton reported that Budd has been active and attends meetings. Commissioners discussed whether to reopen the application for public interest but concluded the city had already recommended Budd and moved forward with the reappointment.
A motion to approve Brett Budd’s reappointment was made and seconded, and the commission adopted the motion by voice vote with unanimous approval.
The commission did not add conditions to the reappointment; the county will notify the City of Newton and record the appointment.
