Staff said commercial-grade upgrades (washers/dryers, improved bedding and interior repairs) would be needed to create a marketable guest experience. "I think it would be more ideal," a commissioner said of consolidating online listings and investing in professional marketing and graphics.
Commissioners agreed they were open to Airbnb in principle but requested a six-month strategic plan laying out capital needs, projected revenue, staffing implications and a schedule for improvements before committing to a public rollout. Park staff agreed to produce updated financial projections and a prioritized list of repairs and furnishings for the board to review.
