The Thousand Oaks City Council appointed or reappointed five residents to advisory commissions Monday night.
Planning Commission: Don Lanson was reappointed to another four-year term (nominated by Council member Adam). Kara Buss was appointed to the Planning Commission (nominated by Council member Gutierrez). Council members stated that the appointments were exempt from CEQA; each nomination passed by voice vote 5-0.
Traffic and Transportation Advisory Commission (TTAC): Kat Selm, Dan Weichel and Rosanna (Rosana/Rosanna in transcript) Guerra were appointed to four-year terms. Council members praised the appointees’ community service and relevant expertise during brief remarks. Each nomination passed 5-0.
The appointments followed a routine process used after council elections to align commissioner terms with council member four-year boundaries. Council members thanked returning and new commissioners for volunteering to serve.
