Council appoints five members to planning and traffic advisory commissions

Kara Buss was appointed to the Planning Commission (nominated by Council member Gutierrez). Council members stated that the appointments were exempt from CEQA; each nomination passed by voice vote 5-0.
Traffic and Transportation Advisory Commission (TTAC): Kat Selm, Dan Weichel and Rosanna (Rosana/Rosanna in transcript) Guerra were appointed to four-year terms. Council members praised the appointees’ community service and relevant expertise during brief remarks. Each nomination passed 5-0.
The appointments followed a routine process used after council elections to align commissioner terms with council member four-year boundaries. Council members thanked returning and new commissioners for volunteering to serve.
