HARRISVILLE — The Harrisville City Council recorded several routine approvals and formal actions at its meeting. The votes below were taken by voice vote and were approved unanimously unless noted.
Votes at a glance
- Approval of meeting minutes (Jan. 14, 2025 and Jan. 28, 2025). Motion to approve the minutes passed by voice vote.
- Ratification of mayoral appointment to the Weber Mosquito (as stated) Board. The council ratified the mayor’s appointment of Grover (appointed as stated in the meeting) to the Mosquito Board.
- Surplus of three refrigerators. Staff requested surplusing three refrigerators formerly acquired with CARES Act funds; council approved the surplus and directed staff to attempt sale to avoid disposal costs.
- Acceptance of fiscal year 2024 audit. Council accepted the auditor’s report after presentation; more detail on the audit appears in a separate article.
Procedural notes: In each instance above, council members voted "Aye" when asked; no roll-call tally was recorded on the consent items or the appointments. The council moved on to other agenda items after the votes.
