The Kenosha Board of Water Commissioners on Feb. 10 approved a quitclaim/dedication of right of way for Seventh Avenue and received an informational item on dedications for 70 Eighth Street and 70 Ninth Street.
Utility staff said the actions are the first in a series of items to tidy property ownership around the wastewater plant and to facilitate a planned sale of a parcel south of the plant to the State of Wisconsin. The state plans to pursue grant-funded shoreline revetment work on an eroded shoreline; staff said a small corner of the Dunes property will be carved out as part of a lot-line adjustment. Staff recommended approval of the dedications to clean up ownership for future clean water funding applications.
Commissioners moved and seconded approval for the Seventh Avenue dedication and recorded ayes with no opposition. Item 6 (dedications for 70 Eighth Street and 70 Ninth Street) was listed as informational only and required no board action at this time.
