Mr. Pelowitz, Solid Waste Authority staff, told the board the proposal would redraw Service Area 6 northward, keep the unit sizes comparable to today and retain an independent MWBE service area while removing the joint‑venture requirement previously imposed on proposers. “We propose moving Service Area 6 to the northern portion of the current Service Area 3,” he said. “The unit sizes and scopes between the current and proposed Service Area 6 are comparable.”
