Staff said the total price for the turnkey installation is $39,475.46. The project is reimbursable under a Federal Emergency Management Agency grant that covers 75% of the cost, or $29,606.60, leaving the town's share at $9,868.86. The director said staff met with FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security and understands the reimbursement process; because the grant is reimbursable, staff will return with an additional appropriation to appropriate the full amount before reimbursement.
A motion to approve the purchase was moved and seconded; the council recorded a 5-0 roll-call vote in favor. Council members agreed to move forward while staff finalizes appropriation details.
