The Plymouth School Committee recorded unanimous roll-call votes at its Feb. 10 meeting on the items below.
• Academic calendar for 2025–26: Committee members voted to approve the proposed district academic calendar, which would start teacher work on Aug. 25, start students in grades 1–12 on Sept. 7 and kindergarten on Sept. 8; the holiday recess and in-service days were included in the proposed calendar. The motion passed on a unanimous roll-call vote.
• School committee meeting dates (2025–26): The committee approved the proposed calendar of committee meetings with an edit to move the Saturday winter meeting into February (the committee amended the draft meeting schedule as discussed and voted unanimously to adopt the edited schedule).
• First Student transportation contract: The committee voted unanimously to exercise the second one-year option in the district’s First Student contract for FY 2026, increasing the daily per-bus rate to $499.83. (See separate article for details and planned procurement study.)
• Consent agenda: The committee approved routine personnel and consent items (resignations, appointments, leaves and related items) by unanimous roll call.
