The Clarksburg Sanitary Board approved Budget Revision No. 1, which updates the revenue and renewal-and-replacement (R&R) funds to reflect year-end carryovers and other reassignments.
The revision increases the revenue fund by $638,000 and the R&R fund by $16,000. The finance staff said they adjusted contribution lines to account for a $500,000 transfer recorded in July, and the revenue fund includes $8,000 added for office and SCADA computer equipment.
In the sewer department, staff reallocated savings to pay for a sewer camera, bringing that line to $149,000 after moving $134,000 from the wastewater treatment plant. A $30,000 reallocation covered two dump beds the department says it needs this year, and the wastewater treatment plant moved funds from shift differential to cover higher electricity and water bills. The board also recorded financing to pay off a dump truck at $155,731.
For the R&R account, staff increased budgeted contingencies by $451,000 to reflect an additional contribution recorded in the revision; the revision also includes an initial payout for the Arlington sewer project and a small amount for the Milford area upgrade listed as $6.73 in the transcript.
The board moved and seconded approval and carried the revision on a voice vote. Staff said they will seek three bids for the sewer camera and for R&R purchases where required.
