Guymon council nominates city manager to Oklahoma Rural Water Association and OMAG trustee candidate list

Council discussion described ORWA membership as useful for rural water engineering and technical assistance; Shannon said membership costs were roughly $4,000 per year as determined by meter count and that the association provides services the city can use. On OMAG, the council said having a representative on the OMAG board is valuable because OMAG is the municipal liability insurer that handles city government liability coverage.
Both nominations passed with recorded "aye" votes from Councilmembers Alvidrez, Setzer, Eidson and Vice Mayor Geraldine Sanchez.
