Summary
City administrators told the council the city received the Level‑3 tree risk assessment final report and notified the public, and that a developer-funded Kingswood Drive/Tyee intersection project will begin Feb. 18 with alternating traffic and an expected two-month duration.
City Administrator Parks told the council Feb. 11 that the final Level‑3 tree risk assessment report has been delivered to the city and uploaded to the city website. The city has posted related social media notices and emailed board and commission members about the report.
Parks also briefed council members on a developer‑driven road project at the Kingswood Drive South/Tyee intersection (near Home Depot). The project is slated to begin Feb. 18, last approximately two months and will include one‑way alternating traffic control, possible partial access restrictions for businesses and potential congestion during school drop‑off and pick‑up times.
“We’ll have inspectors out there to make sure they’re doing the right thing,” Parks said. Staff said communications and construction management will work to minimize impacts and provide advance notice to the public. No council action was required; staff asked council members to share the posted links and construction notices with constituents.
