North Clackamas posts clean audit for fiscal year 2023–24, district and auditors report

North Clackamas School District officials told the board Thursday that the district’s Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2024, received an unmodified (clean) opinion from the independent auditors.
Matt Macara, the district’s executive director of finance and business services, presented the ACFAR and acknowledged the district’s business services team for preparing the report. "Our ACFAR last year received the certificate of excellence in financial reporting from the Association of School Business Officials," Macara said, noting the district will apply for the award again.
Connor Delaney, representing audit firm Polly Rogers & Co., told the board the audit process went smoothly and praised the district’s organization and timeliness. "The information's always really well organized and they get it to us in a timely fashion," Delaney said.
Macara told the board the auditors issued an unmodified opinion, found the district in compliance with governmental auditing standards and federal regulations, and reported no corrected or uncorrected misstatements and no disagreements with management. The district said it will again apply for awards from the Association of School Business Officials and the Government Finance Officers Association for the report.
The presentation was informational; no formal board action was required. Board members congratulated the finance team for completing the audit and for the clean opinion.
