Panel plans Trident outreach event and church partnership to connect with people experiencing homelessness

Luna reported she had been connected to a United Methodist Church program called The Illuminators, which embeds staff who develop relationships within the unhoused community. Luna said the church wants to host a conversation in March and is coordinating with city council and other stakeholders; she said she would help bring the Boulder Police Department and panel representatives into that meeting and would update the panel as the project develops.

Panelists discussed possible dates and noted school spring breaks that might affect turnout; some members suggested moving the Trident event to early April to avoid conflicts. Panel staff said they would finalize the invitation and share it with panel members for edits and sign‑off.

The outreach update also included a short note that the panel planned to recruit student panelists and to publicize a youth art contest for the annual report cover with a March 21 deadline for submissions.
