He said the district decided not to issue a broad public statement so as not to draw unnecessary community attention.
Ryan said district legal counsel has coordinated with counsel from neighboring districts and expects potential national litigation on the rescission, but advised the district will follow existing law and provide administrators with support in the event law enforcement seeks student records or access to facilities. No changes to district policy were adopted at the work session; staff said they will continue to advise building leaders and stand ready to review legal process documents if needed.
