County staff reports endorsements and ongoing broadband provider outreach

The staff member said Bevcom — a provider that previously partnered with the county on ARPA‑funded projects — is finishing work in areas around Ojibwa, Exeland and Cudearia and is expanding into adjacent areas without grant assistance. The provider declined participation in a BEED funding opportunity but is nonetheless growing its network and customer base, the staff member reported.
County staff said they will continue conversations with the new company and monitor coverage gaps. No formal action was taken during the meeting.
