Trustee Morales and others cautioned that community respondents may lack context for technical budget tradeoffs and suggested the district consider an outside polling firm or more detailed strategic‑planning engagement for future cycles.
Dempsey agreed to add clarifying ranges for some questions, ensure Spanish translation and include campus‑level drilldowns so principals can use results for local budgeting. The board directed staff to circulate the revised survey and to schedule budget workshops and timelines before the district’s May submission deadline.
