Topics raised included: Chromebook access and charging, hotspots for households lacking Internet, elementary students’ access and supervision, staff availability for remote “office hours,” variation in weather by neighborhood and building-level air‑conditioning for potential warm-weather concerns in late June. The administration said the district plans to develop a detailed remote‑learning plan, communicate with families and staff, and survey participants after any remote day to collect feedback.
The board voted to approve the specific instructional calendar adjustment at the meeting; the motion to approve the 02/2025 instructional calendar adjustments passed 6–0–0.
Administrators said they would present a fuller remote‑learning plan and additional calendar options at future meetings and would consult auditors and bargaining units where necessary before any contractual change.
