Englewood officials review Feb.–Apr. council agendas, highlight bridge design, energy grant and water projects

City Manager Sean Lewis opened a Feb. 12 manager–mayor meeting in Englewood to review city council agendas through April, identifying a final design contract for the Union Avenue bridge, a planned application to the Colorado Energy Office for a high-efficiency electric heating and appliance grant and multiple water-infrastructure items that will appear on upcoming regular-session agendas.

The discussion served as an agenda scrub ahead of the Feb. 18 regular meeting and subsequent sessions. Lewis ran through consent items and scheduled study-session topics, including a midyear capital improvement plan review, a monthly financial report and an arts-programming update. He also noted project-specific items that staff expects council to consider in March and April.

Why it matters: the items flagged include capital projects, potential state grant applications, changes to the municipal code and amendments to intergovernmental agreements that could affect city budgeting, utilities and development policy.
