Christina, who prepared the calendar, told commissioners the packet includes summer meeting dates and that agenda items are typically due about one week after the commission meeting or by the Thursday before a scheduled meeting to allow staff time to process items and route them to the city clerk. The calendar and deadlines will be posted on the city website and at City Hall and the city's public posting location, Christina said.
Staff also said the City Council appears likely to follow a schedule that builds a longer holiday break around Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day. That pattern could mean fewer meetings in July and August. Staff encouraged commissioners to submit items early to avoid needing a June meeting if business is completed in May; doing so would align with a summer dark period the council used previously.
