Beaufort County Council on Feb. 10 accepted a 02/04/2025 appraisal of the 26.46-acre Mitchellville property and authorized the county administrator to provide payment from the county’s green-space sales-tax fund to the Town of Hilton Head Island, council records show.
The county packet included an earlier July 2024 appraisal by Charleston Appraisal Company that valued the parcel at $9,887,000. A subsequent appraisal by Valbridge Property Advisors, completed Dec. 16, 2024 (reported during the Feb. 10 council discussion), concluded a value of $10,880,000.
