Commissioners approve Clinica community partnership grant and ask staff to host public meeting about merged behavioral health services

Boulder County commissioners voted to approve the Clinica Behavioral Health MHP Community Partnership grant (agenda item 6C, previously 5C) during their Feb. 11 meeting and asked staff to schedule a public meeting to describe the group’s services and the recent organizational changes.
Commissioners said the community has fielded questions about how Clinica and MHP are delivering services after a recent merger or acquisition-style change; some commissioners recommended a public forum so residents can hear directly from the provider about program offerings, reporting and fundraising efforts mentioned in the staff memo.
Braden Gregory joined the meeting virtually as a staff contact for the item. Natalie Springer, deputy in the commissioners’ office, recorded that staff should arrange a 2025 community or public meeting; commissioners asked Gregory and deputies in the commissioners’ office to coordinate scheduling and public notice.
The motion to approve the grant passed by unanimous vote of the commissioners present.
Staff will provide public meeting logistics and a staff contact for residents who want more information about Clinica’s current service portfolio.
