The board reported out from closed session that comprehensive school safety plans were approved. Associate Superintendent Doreen Bosuino noted that California Education Code requires districts operating kindergarten through grade 12 to develop a school safety plan tailored to each school’s needs and resources, and said the district’s public versions had already been cleared by the San Mateo County Office of Education in October.
Bosuino said the board had reviewed the non‑public tactical response materials in closed session and that the public versions had been posted. No additional actions were taken in open session regarding the safety plans during this meeting; the board’s report out was limited to confirming approval in closed session and the availability of the public documents.
