The court accepted the 2024 racial‑profiling report from the Henderson County Sheriff's Office for filing only. The presenting official, Chief (Henderson County Sheriff's Office), told the court the report reflects traffic stops that are “consistent with the racial makeup of the county” and that the office received no racial‑profiling complaints for 2024.
Commissioners approved a request to use Healthy County Fund proceeds for employee wellness prize drawings. A staff member presenting the item said, “We would like to continue doing the $3,100 gift cards per month,” seeking approval for 12 months; the motion that the court passed specified a $3,600 amount for prize drawings and carried unanimously. Commissioner Toole called it “a good way to spend it” to boost participation; court minutes show average monthly participation of about 30–50 people.
The court reappointed Dr. Doug Kern, Mark Smith and Michael Deeds to three open seats on the Henderson County Hospital Authority Board. The reappointments were approved unanimously.
The court also approved a lateral personnel transfer of an anonymized employee (employee 1451) from Road & Bridge Precinct 1 to the county maintenance department at the same pay grade and step; commissioners said the transfer was lateral and required court approval because the receiving department’s budget did not previously include the pay grade.
Right‑of‑way agreements were approved for Encore Electric Delivery to install approximately 6,900 feet of mixed underground and overhead primary conductor along County Road 2930 (Peachtree Road), and for Charter/Spectrum to install fiber at two addresses (directional bore of 150 feet at 12575 County Road 2803; directional bore of 200 feet and 50 feet aerial at 9153 County Road 2813). All permits passed unanimously.
On procurement, the court acknowledged three responses to a request for qualifications for a fiscal‑year panic‑button alarm system: AIO Security Solutions, Alertus Technologies and Synergix (one speaker also referenced “Corten” while reading the list). Mr. Torres (procurement) said the RFQ responses will be ranked and returned to the court for final award.
Budget amendments for fiscal 2025 were approved. Staff noted an unbudgeted lease increase for a building office rental and a property‑tax charge tied to a Precinct 1 boat ramp (Caney City). The court approved payment of bills for fiscal 2024 in the amount of $44,516.26 and fiscal 2025 in the amount of $508,789.12; motions passed unanimously.
