MSD Wabash County Schools trustees approved claims and payroll number 14 and heard a financial summary for January.
A district finance representative, identified in the meeting as Chris, said payroll is “pretty typical” and that payroll totals will increase in upcoming pay periods because winter sports and coach claims are being paid. Trustees moved and seconded to approve claims and payroll number 14 and adopted the item by voice vote.
The finance report showed end-of-January balances and compared the district’s opening balance for 2025 with the ending balance for the month. Chris said the district monitors cash flow closely in the education and operations funds. During the reports, a board member asked about the status of a district roof project; staff said the contractor’s schedule remains on track but work awaits better weather, and the board was told the first installment for the roof payment will appear on the next claims list.
No vote was required on the financial narrative itself; the claims and payroll approval was the formal action taken.
