A northeast-side exit/door proposal for the 30th District Court offered two options: replacement of the exit door for $12,036 or replacement of the full storefront for $16,039. Commissioners discussed cost differences and the need to ensure competition on bids; with a request for additional quotes and outreach, the court tabled that item as well.
Commissioner Beacham and county project staff described the electrical-panel covers as necessary to prevent unauthorized access that could disrupt courthouse systems. Christian Beacham, the county’s project representative, told the court the covers would match adjacent woodwork and be lockable; the work will be paid from permanent-improvement funds (line items to be determined by the county auditor).
