Committee approves monthly stipend for county burial and cremation administrative services

Staff said the county previously authorized continued burial and cremation services but had not specified amount or duration for administrative compensation. The MOU attached to the agenda references administrative costs and indicates ARPA funding can be used. Staff recommended prorating the stipend back to Nov. 1 (the date staff said Troxell began performing the services) and paying $750 per month through the end date discussed during the motion.
Committee members moved to approve the stipend amount and duration; the motion passed by voice vote.
Ending: Staff will incorporate the stipend details into the MOU and implement payments from the county’s designated cremation and burial allocation. Documentation attached to the agenda will be used to set administrative parameters.
