The Lincoln City Council on Feb. 10 voted 7–0 to approve an agreement allowing Lancaster County to use city-owned right-of-way for traffic detours while the county completes a road paving project at North 140th Street and Holdridge Street.
Elizabeth Elliott, director of Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU), said the agreement formalizes roles and responsibilities between the city and the Lancaster County engineer’s office and is part of coordinated work on multiple paving projects. Elliott said the arrangement clarifies rules, responsibilities and duties for the detour segments.
No public testimony was offered on the item during the hearing, and the council’s roll call produced unanimous approval.
