Redevelopment commission approves prior minutes, pays claims and hears February financial update

A representative from Rede Financial told the commission that the commission’s funds ended the month “a little over a million” and that about $690,000 had been spent so far in the year. The presenter noted the packet’s final page lists the first round of debt payments in the actual column. The representative also said the new reporting cycle begins with April presentations; staff said the materials would be brought back in March and then submitted to Gateway ahead of the April 15 deadline.
A commissioner asked whether the packet included a reporting calendar; a commissioner requested staff add a reporting schedule to the materials so the commission can track upcoming deadlines. Staff agreed to verify DNR/DNR-related fund setup and confirm the fund accounting for grant match money.
The meeting closed with the commission adjourning by voice vote.
