A staff member told commissioners the fund balance stood at $537,000 and that the balance “ebbs and flows” with development activity; staff estimated a typical range around $350,000 and noted large projects can draw the fund down.
A commissioner moved to adopt the Public Landscapes Initiative and place it on file; a second was recorded and the commission voted in favor. The motion passed with the commission voting to adopt the guiding document.
Commissioners asked staff to continue bringing potential planting and restoration locations to the commission for feedback and to coordinate capital plan timing.
No formal changes to program eligibility or funding rules were made at this meeting; adoption places the guiding document on file for use in project planning and capital budgeting.
