Fairfield County Council appoints Victor Joseph Carpenter as county administrator

Fairfield County Council voted 6-0 on Monday to approve a resolution appointing Victor Joseph Carpenter as the county dministrator and authorizing the chairman to sign an employment agreement.

The resolution, described by the council as Resolution 2025-01, was introduced after an executive session in which the council said it received legal advice and discussed personnel matters. The measure passed on a recorded voice vote with six members registering approval and none opposing.

The council nnounced the appointment publicly at the meeting. "The Fairfield County Council has selected Mr. Victor Joseph Carpenter to be our next administrator for this county," the chair said during the public portion of the meeting. The chair also thanked Carpenter for accepting the position and said the council looks forward to working with him.
