Atchison County commissioners approved two IT-related purchase orders during the Jan. 21 meeting: a $3,480 purchase for GoTo remote-support licenses and a $52,005 annual renewal for Computer Information Concepts (CIC).
Scott Howard, IT director, described GoTo Central as the county’s remote-support software used to access and repair remote computers without requiring staff to bring machines to the courthouse. The board approved a purchase order for 250 GoTo seats or a central-base package totaling $3,480; the motion passed unanimously.
Howard summarized the CIC renewal as the county’s core accounting and administrative software used by multiple departments including tax administration, motor vehicle, public works and weed management. Commissioners were told the renewal represented a slight increase of about $640 tied to an employee portal and time-clock modules. The board approved the CIC renewal as presented; the motion also passed unanimously.
Both purchase orders were placed on the county’s services budget and the clerk was asked to prepare purchase-order paperwork for signature.
