Resident urges Maitland council to fix Tuscarora Trail, says recent paving is failing

Mark Skipper, who identified himself as a resident of the Downward Hills neighborhood, told the City Council on Feb. 10 that Tuscarora Trail remains in poor condition after recent work and that the road is damaging vehicles.
‘‘The road is so bad. You drive on it. It's killing my car. It's been that way for a year,’’ Skipper said, describing what he called poor paving and urging a more permanent repair soon. He added that drivers must swerve to avoid damaged sections and noted sidewalk work that had been done nearby.
Skipper asked the council to ‘‘take a look and get it fixed sooner rather than later.’’ City staff did not report a formal response or a follow-up action during the Feb. 10 meeting.
