The Westfield Board of Zoning Appeals unanimously re-elected the same slate of officers used in 2024, the board president announced at the start of the meeting.
The re-election was made by motion, seconded, and approved by voice vote with all members present saying “aye.” The board took the action before moving into the evening’s petitions and public hearings.
The president noted that Billy, the board’s vice president, was absent because he and his wife were becoming parents; the absence did not affect the vote. The president encouraged newer, younger members to pursue leadership positions in future years to build experience for civic office.
No formal discussion of officer duties or changes to board rules accompanied the re-election; the vote was procedural and unanimous. The board then moved to review the agenda and opened the evening’s public hearings.
