Planning & Zoning Commission approves Rye Hill Section 2B preliminary plat with conditions

The Sugar Land Planning and Zoning Commission on a unanimous vote approved the Rye Hill Section 2B preliminary plat — a 30.034-acre portion of the larger Rye Hill development that would create 107 single-family lots — while attaching conditions requiring corrections to several dimensional callouts and reserve acreages before final platting.

Interim Senior Planner Jessica Echols told the commission that preliminary plats "lay out lots and streets to confirm that all minimum lot sizes and right of ways can be met," and that box exhibits are required to demonstrate minimum lot widths at the front building line. She said preliminary plats are not recorded at the county and that the exhibit boxes do not represent building pads.
