City staff presented two public-hearing items to the Sierra Vista City Council: a new Series 10 liquor-license application for a dollar store at the corner of Highway 90 and Nina Del Sol, and an acquisition-of-control application for Paul's Pubsley's Bar on Paseo San Luis.
"This is an application for a new series 10 liquor license, which is sale of beer and wine for the new dollar store located at the corner of Highway 90 and at Nina Del Sol," Miss Adams told the council, adding that the required notice was posted and that no public comments pro or con had been received. She said the Police Department's background check raised no objections.
On the Paul's Pubsley acquisition-of-control item, Miss Adams said the public notice was posted, no comments were received, and the police background check had no objections.
Staff told council that if either item is approved by the council on Thursday, the applications will be sent to the state for final action. The transcript records staff reports and brief council remarks but does not include a final recorded vote on either item.
