County staff presented the hearing examiner’s recommendation on Road Vacation No. 420, a petition by Peggy Merriam to vacate a segment of county road or easement. The hearing examiner recommended approval contingent on payment of compensation of $19,815.60 and subject to preservation of easements for ingress, egress and existing public utilities.
Staff told the commissioners that all required fees and the compensation amount have already been paid. The petition will be scheduled on the commissioners’ regular meeting agenda for Jan. 18 for formal action. No formal vote was taken at the briefing.
Staff said there are additional road vacation hearings scheduled and that the hearings examiner conducts the public process and recommends findings to the commission for final action.
