The School Town Speedway board approved the district’s personnel report during its Feb. 11 meeting. The report included two resignations, one dismissal, several new hires and a recommended administrative appointment.
District staff told the board that Tina Ross, a custodian, will resign effective Feb. 28. Brady Nylund, the district’s PE and strength and conditioning teacher at Speedway High School, submitted a resignation effective June 30. Amber K. Roth was dismissed from the junior-high musical director position. The personnel report recommended new hires including Rosa Louvenos as a six-hour cafeteria worker at Speedway High School, Fred Suttle as a custodian, Tristan Taylor as assistant baseball coach, and Joel Magnabasco for a teacher contract in CTE. The report also recommended Lance Snouse as Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Education and Programs.
A board member moved to approve the personnel report and the motion was seconded; the chair recorded the item as passed by voice vote.
Why it matters: the personnel actions will change staffing and program delivery across the district; the recommendation of an assistant superintendent is an administrative appointment that the board approved as part of the personnel slate.
Provenance: the personnel items and the motion to approve are recorded in the meeting transcript.
