School Town Speedway board approves minutes, early-literacy stipend resolution and personnel actions

The School Town Speedway board on Feb. 11 approved the minutes of its Jan. 14 meeting, passed a resolution to accept and distribute state early-literacy grant stipends, approved the personnel report, and acknowledged $268,227.53 in grant funding.

The board opened by approving the Jan. 14 minutes after a motion and second; the chair then signed the minutes. Later, a board member moved to approve an early literacy grant resolution that follows Indiana Department of Education guidance to distribute supplemental payment stipends to teachers, instructional coaches and other staff involved in literacy instruction through grade 3; the motion was seconded and approved.
