A trustee moved to approve the moratorium with an effective date running Feb. 10 through May 1; the motion was seconded and passed unanimously on a roll call vote.
Board members discussed whether to tie the moratorium to the start of the fiscal year for budgeting simplicity but settled on the Feb. 10–May 1 timeframe so the village and school district would have an agreed window to develop new fee language. Trustees said if additional edits are identified they can still be made in subsequent meetings.
What’s next: The moratorium delays collection of the specified fees while staff and the school district prepare updated fee schedules. Trustees did not adopt new fee amounts on Feb. 10.
