The council announced a public information session scheduled for Feb. 24 at 6 p.m. in the Second Floor Auditorium of Saco City Hall to present results and accept public comment on the Interstate 195 / Ocean Road feasibility and safety study.
City administration said the study was produced in collaboration with the Maine Department of Transportation, Old Orchard Beach and other stakeholders. The consultant (named in the meeting as Gorlin Palmer) and Maine DOT representatives will present the study’s results, and representatives from Old Orchard Beach will attend.
The city said mailed notices will go to nearby property owners and that the communications department has issued a press release; staff encouraged councilors and residents to spread the word. The session will be held before the Feb. 24 regular council meeting and will include opportunities for public comment, the city said.
