LDC ratifies extension of purchaser feasibility period for Visions Hotels project; Canal Corp sign‑off remains outstanding

The Local Development Corporation ratified a third amendment to a purchase and sale agreement on a motion that passed unanimously, extending the purchaserfeasibility period to April 1, 2025, as developers and staff described outstanding conditions — notably a revised standstill agreement with Canal Corporation and Industrial Development Agency approval — that must be resolved before closing.

Board members and project representatives said the project has cleared much of its due diligence but still needs Canal Corporationand other approvals before financing can be finalized and construction can begin. "We have purchase and sale agreement. There are some requirements of the seller in that purchase and sale agreement. Those need to be fulfilled as much as our due diligence. We've completed our due diligence," a project representative told the board.
