Council approves consent items, removes tax‑abatement guideline from consent; appoints Paula Portugal to Planning and Zoning (6–0)

Later in the meeting the council considered appointment of Paula Portugal to fill the unexpired term of Tylisha Mosley on the Planning and Zoning Commission. A motion to appoint Portugal was made and seconded; the motion carried 6–0.
Agenda item 13 (an economic development/tax abatement agreement with Invest Lamar LLC under the housing infill program) was removed from consideration that night because the developer withdrew the application earlier in the day; no action was required.
