Public Safety Committee honors longtime local instructor Brian Robert Feeney

The Marathon County Public Safety Committee on Feb. 11 approved a resolution recognizing Brian Robert Feeney for decades of service in law enforcement and training.
The resolution highlights Feeney’s service as a reserve deputy with the Marathon County Sheriff’s Office, deputy chief with the Wisconsin State Fair Police Department, a member of the Marathon County Highways Commission, and an instructor at Northcentral Technical College. Supervisor Jeong introduced the resolution and moved its approval.
Supervisor Jeong said the resolution was prompted by ‘‘several constituents in the local area here who were students of Mr. Brian Feeney’’ and described Feeney’s ‘‘cool and level headed’’ leadership and mentorship. Jeong said Feeney ‘‘has contributed so much to our community and to ensuring the safety of our community.’’
Committee members voted ‘‘aye’’ and the motion carried. Committee members signed the resolution at the meeting and arranged for Supervisor Yi to present the document to Feeney in person.
