Sarah Armstrong Gardner, PATV program coordinator, said the station acquired new 6K studio cameras, upgraded switching and lighting, and received field kit and audio equipment through local grants and partner support. She described partnerships with county departments including public health, Office of Emergency Services and Animal Services, and cited an example in which a PATV-produced animal video promoted a shelter adoption.
PATV staff and community partners described programs for youth and community producers: the creative hub for local creators and a future-filmmakers club for middle/high-school students that produces a regular program and plans a 12-week short-film project supported by a Calaveras County Foundation grant. PATV also seeks streaming capability upgrades to reach audiences without broadband.
Public health and other county staff praised PATV for expanding outreach at town halls and preparedness events; community members and non-profit partners described rapid-response video production during recent county broadband and public-health efforts.
