Board approves conflict-of-interest update, select Clean California slogan and several public-works contract amendments

The Calaveras County Board of Supervisors on Feb. 11 unanimously approved a revision to the county's conflict-of-interest code, selected a slogan for the county's Clean California campaign and approved contract amendments with two engineering firms for ongoing public-works programs, and adopted the Copperopolis Community Plan.

The board handled the items in a single meeting session, taking votes after staff presentations and limited public comment. Several items were routine but carried specific dollar amounts or conditions the board recorded in the minutes.

Consent item 11: conflict-of-interest code revision A resolution to revise the county's conflict-of-interest code to reflect post'biannual-review updates and to align local listings with state filing requirements passed on a voice vote. The board adopted the update to the appendix that lists positions required to file statements of economic interest (Form 700). Motion and second were recorded; the board vote was announced as 5-0.
