Board renews Peak to Peak charter after review; board and speakers highlight equity and student supports

The Boulder Valley School District Board of Education voted unanimously on Jan. 28 to approve the charter renewal for Peak to Peak Charter School after receiving public comments and reviewing the renewal application.
Student and parent speakers described academic rigor, equity efforts and individualized supports at Peak to Peak. ‘‘Peak to Peak has provided a welcoming environment where diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging are valued,’’ parent Lisa Jones said during virtual public comment. Student Rania Ezenekwe described AP opportunities, travel and research experiences that she said prepared her for college.
