Bloomington City Council unanimously appoints members to five advisory boards and commissions

Council members approved five packages of appointments — to the advisory board of health; the creative placemaking commission; the human rights commission; the parks, arts and recreation commission; and the sustainability commission — by 5-0 votes.
The appointments came after interview panels conducted dozens of candidate interviews the week prior. Council member Carter, who served on the advisory board of health interview panel, described the advisory board pool as “very, very competitive” and summarized the finalists’ qualifications for the council before the roll call votes.
