At a January 2025 meeting of the Bike, Ped & Trail Commission, members voted to approve three personnel items: the reappointment of Rick to the commission, the acceptance of applicant Oliver to fill an open seat, and the elevation of Andy from alternate to a full voting member.
The commission chair opened the meeting by asking for a motion to approve minutes from the previous meeting and then moved through applications and reappointments. Commissioners discussed Rick’s renewed application and then voted to accept it. They next considered Oliver’s application; members noted Oliver had applied previously and an opening had become available after Alex stepped down, and they voted to accept Oliver as a member. Finally, the commission considered whether Laurie or Andy should occupy a full member slot; Andy agreed to step into the full-time seat and the commission approved that change.
The motions were made and seconded on the record and approved by voice/raise of hands; the transcript did not record a roll-call vote or numeric tallies. No formal conditions or amendments were attached to these membership actions.
The personnel votes leave the commission at or near full capacity and clarify which alternates will fill votes only when full members are absent, a process commissioners explained during the meeting.
The commission adjourned after completing these items and moving on to other agenda topics.
