Northglenn council interviews three candidates for municipal judge, then moves to executive session

Three candidates for the City of Northglenn municipal judge position appeared before the City Council on Feb. 10, 2025, for structured interviews and question-and-answer sessions. After the interviews, council members voted unanimously to enter executive session to review applications for an appointive position, negotiate a contract and consider personnel matters related to council appointee evaluations.

The interviews lasted up to 45 minutes per candidate and used a 13-question evaluation form provided by staff. Brian Bowen introduced himself as the presiding judge for the Commerce City municipal court and described decades of experience in Colorado courts and programs he helped start, including a veterans treatment court.
