Councilor Brenda DeMott moved and the mayor pro tem seconded approval of an initial 2025 contract with Amoot Pointe Construction Company, Inc., for on-call stormwater and open drainage maintenance in an amount not to exceed $750,000; the motion passed on a seven-zero vote. The council also authorized, subject to annual appropriation, contract amendments for 2026 through 2029 with the same contractor, each with an annual expenditure cap not to exceed $750,000; that motion likewise passed 7-0.
